Short scheduled sound interventions by the Vienna Noise Orchestra (Reinhard Dundler, Paul Gründorfer, David Kammann, Igor Lintz-Maues, Caroline Profanter, Lale Rodgarkia-Dara, Anna Steiden) in following city spaces:
2.30 pm, Raiffeisen-Passage (entrance: Landstraße Hauptstraße 2): Sound Intervention 1 – “Suitcase”
3 pm, Fritz-Votruba-Promenade (1st district): Sound Intervention 2 - “Human Polygon”
3.30 pm, Postsparkasse/Post Office Savings Bank Building (1st district, Georg-Coch-Platz 2): Sound Intervention 3 - “Revolving Door”
6 pm, Stadtpark, around the pound (1st district, Parkring): Sound Intervention 4 - “Cyber Duck”
6.30 pm, Stadtpark, northern shore of the Wien river: Sound Intervention 5 - “Singing Amphoras”
7 pm, Café Hegelhof (1st district, Johannesgasse 16, Tel 0043-1-512 82 21): Sound Intervention 6 - ”Café Culture”

Saturday, June 2nd, 2012, in the surroundings of the Alte Schmiede 9.45 pm: Vienna in concert, 2nd part
"Camouflage – a sound intervention in city spaces" with the Vienna Noise Orchestra (Alexander Chernyshkov, Reinhard Dundler, Paul Gründorfer, David Kammann, Igor Lintz-Maues, Caroline Profanter, Anna Steiden) playing "urbanophones" The Vienna Noise Orchestra intervenes with "Camouflage" in the city space by means of temporary sound installations. With electronic means – the so called “urbanophones”- contrasts and/or accentuations are set to the existing acoustic environment. These sound interventions sensitize the active perception of found, existing sonic spheres – exactly because urban soundscapes have their own musical attraction and source of inexhaustible artistic material.

The symposium took place from May 30th to June 2nd, 2012 in Vienna and was organised by the Cultural Center Alte Schmiede together with the Institute of Composition and Electroacoustic Media of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as part of the project „LISTENING CITIES / Knowing Europe by its sounds” (Fall 2011-Summer 2013) in the context the Livelong Learning Programme Grundtvig. Samstag, 2. Juni 2012, in der Umgebung der Alten Schmiede 21.45: Wien im Konzert, 2. Teil
"Camouflage - ein Klangintervention im Stadtraum" des Wiener Geräuschorchesters (Alexander Chernyshkov, Reinhard Dundler, Paul Gründorfer, David Kammann, Igor Lintz-Maues, Caroline Profanter, Anna Steiden) spielen "Urbanophonen" Das Wiener Geräuschorchester interveniert mit ‚Camouflage’ im öffentlichen Raum mittels temporärer, klanglicher Installationen. Mit sogenannten Urbanophonen werden Kontraste und/oder Akzentuierungen zur bestehenden akustischen Umgebung gesetzt. Diese klanglichen Interventionen sensibilisieren für die aktive Wahrnehmung vorgefundener, bestehender Laut - Sphären; denn gerade urbane Klanglandschafen haben ihren eigenen musikalischen Reiz und bieten künstlerischer Auseinandersetzung unerschöpfliches Material.
