The Vienna Noise Orchestra presents a "Sound Workers" performance about their participation at the project "Verona risuona - Riconversoni Sonora di Spazi Urbani" in May 2011. The idea is an intervention in the public space in form of a temporary sound installation. With electronic means – the so called “urbanophones”- contrasts and/or accentuations are set to the existing acoustic environment. These sound interventions sensitize the active perception of found, existing sonic spheres – exactly because urban soundscapes have their own musical attraction and source of inexhaustible artistic material. The "Sound Workers" in action attract attention. Interesting ist the reactions of as well as the interaction with the passers-by. Unintentionally at the same time and so in almost direct competition - "Ö1 Kunstradio" organized a panel discussion with similar subject: "STADT HÖREN". Das Wiener Noise Orchestra präsentiert eine Sound-Worker-Performance über ihre Teilnahme an dem Projekt "Verona risuona - Riconversoni Sonora di Spazi Urbani" im Mai 2011 Konzept ist die Intervention im öffentlichen Raume in Form von temporärer, klanglicher Installation. Mit elektronischen Mittel, den so genannten Urbanophonen werden Kontraste und/oder Akzentuierungen zur bestehenden akustischen Umgebung gesetzt. Diese klanglichen Interventionen sensibilisieren für die aktive Wahrnehmung vorgefundener, bestehender Laut - Sphären; denn gerade urbane Klanglandschafen haben ihren eigenen musikalischen Reiz und bieten künstlerischer Auseinandersetzung unerschöpfliches Material. Die "Soundworkers" in Aktion erregen Aufmerksamkeit. Interessant dabei sind die Reaktionen der wie auch die Interaktionen mit den PassantInnen. Unbeabsichtigt zeitgleich und so in quasi direkter Konkurrenz - veranstaltet "Ö1 Kunstradio" eine Podiumsdiskussion mit bestechend ähnlicher Themathik: "STADT HÖREN".
